Unit 1 is a three-bedded residential home for young people with learning disabilities, autism and associated needs. Admission is for young people aged 8-17 on arrival who fall within our statement of purpose and function (which is available upon request).

Set on an ordinary estate in the heart of the beautiful Rossendale Valley, this detached bungalow has completely level access and is fully accessible. Two of the three rooms also have large en-suite wet-rooms.

Staffing ratios are flexible and based upon the needs of the resident children (usually on a 1:1 basis) and the wishes of placing authorities. The team is headed by a Registered Manager and supported by an Assistant Unit Manager and Senior Residential Support Workers.

With two dining areas (a large dining kitchen and another separate dining room), large lounge and good-sized bedrooms there is an abundance of space. Unit 1 also benefits from an enclosed, not overlooked, private garden.

The house is serviced by a company vehicle that is valeted weekly including a full vehicle safety check by our own maintenance team.
