We are now looking for an experienced and motivated individual with strategic vision to join our growing team.
In the role of Registered Manager you will be responsible for the day to day running and management of our Ofsted regulated residential provisions. You will ensure that the homes meet the standards and expectations of their Statement of Purpose and are fully compliant with legislative and regulatory requirements. It is the responsibility of the Registered Manager to safeguard and promote the welfare of all the young people we support and achieve the best outcomes for them. You will work in the homes and lead by example to maintain a competent, motivated and confident staff team offering guidance and support to staff at all levels.
- The role is for 39 hours per week (plus on call duties as part of the management team)
- The expectation of the role is to achieve and maintain an Ofsted rating of Outstanding with a minimum rating of Good
- The role involves working at any of our homes across the Rochdale, Rossendale and Oldham areas.
What you need:
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare or equivalent or a willingness to work towards
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent (if no level 5 diploma)
- A full UK driving license
- At least 2 years’ experience (within the last 5 years) relevant to the residential care of children
- At least 1 years’ experience supervising and managing staff in a care role with strong leadership skills
- Experience and knowledge of supporting people with learning disabilities, autism and behaviours that challenge
- A good understanding of relevant legislation, Children's Homes Regulations and the Ofsted inspection framework
- Ability to successfully complete the Ofsted registration process
- Ability to lead by example and maintain a high standard of quality control
- Effective communication and organisation skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
- IT skills
- A positive ‘can do’ attitude and a flexible approach
- Passionate about caring for children and young people
